Save Water - Save Life

Water Conservation & Harvesting

Under its “Save Water, Save Life” initiative, Moira Welfare Foundation has undertaken various activities focused on water conservation and improving water availability for communities. Pond deepening works at Sulwad and Achana, along with water harvesting initiatives at Divya Shakti, have contributed towards improving rainwater storage and groundwater recharge. Such interventions help conserve water resources, reduce water scarcity, and strengthen the availability of water during dry periods. By supporting practical and community-oriented water conservation measures, the Foundation aims to promote responsible water management and encourage sustainable use of natural resources for the benefit of present and future generations.

Community & Rural Water Development

Moira Welfare Foundation has supported community-based initiatives aimed at strengthening water resources and improving rural development under its “Save Water, Save Life” initiative. Its association with Shivganga Sanagra Gram Vikas Parishad and the Halma initiative reflects a focus on community participation, traditional knowledge, and collective action for sustainable development. Support extended to Shri Rewa Bhagirathi Desi Go Raksha Shala Mahateerth, Barwaha, also contributes to the availability of essential water-related facilities for animal welfare. Through such initiatives, the Foundation promotes community ownership, sustainable water practices, and development solutions that benefit both people and local ecosystems.

Water, Sanitation & Environmental Cleanliness

As part of its “Save Water, Save Life” initiative, Moira Welfare Foundation has also focused on cleanliness, sanitation, and responsible management of community spaces. Activities undertaken in collaboration with Nagar Nigam, including water harvesting and the installation or distribution of dustbins, support cleaner surroundings and better community hygiene. Proper waste disposal plays an important role in preventing water bodies from becoming polluted and helps protect local water resources. By combining water conservation with cleanliness and sanitation initiatives, the Foundation aims to create healthier communities, promote environmental responsibility, and encourage people to adopt sustainable practices for the protection of water and the surrounding environment.
